From the street front, it is impossible to perceive the extent of the change undertaken with the utmost sensitivity and deft execution.
Rob Mills worked with leading heritage consultants, fostering trust at every approval stage. Heritage convention dictated preserving two original rooms. Still, RMA successfully gained community approval to completely rebuild, preserving only the façade and adding a discreet, integrated steel and glazing structure to the southwest.
Capitalizing on the remarkable nature in the Domain opposite, the beauty of the mature native trees has been brought into the living spaces by framing the views in the structure of the new addition and providing outdoor living.
