"Land is the foundation of every RMA design. Here, the superyacht form was shaped by the site’s fall down towards the river."
Rob Mills
St Georges Residence introduces resort-style living to an urban riverfront setting. It includes a wellness center, pool, cabana, gym, bar, and other spaces for family and friends to come together.
The architecture takes full advantage of vistas from every vantage point. By stepping back and following the site’s natural topography, solar access to internal spaces is maximized, and river views are celebrated.
Angled external walls enhance the design concept, while the sculptural forms create unique internal experiences. External surfaces are rendered, accentuating the fluid, sculptural forms of the building envelope.
The streetscape elevation is dynamic, with a large cantilever over the entrance level. A relatively narrow front elevation reveals a surprisingly expansive building form that flows down the natural hillside to the water's edge.
The local council enthusiastically approved the St Georges Road residence with unanimous support. Councilors welcomed it, noting that it was “easy to approve” and “beautifully designed”, that it “fits with the environment” and “ticks all the right boxes.”
At RMA, our process is as integrity-minded as our buildings. We appreciate each site's constraints and opportunities, respect councils' and residents' concerns, and collaborate with leading consultants to achieve the best possible outcome.
With a proven process in place, we deliver landmark residences of benchmark quality – and always adhere to an established time, cost and budget.
